Insert moulding involves the introduction of metal blanks into the moulded part. The inserts, e.g. threaded bushes, are placed into the cavity and encapsulated by polymer melt.

Direct insert moulding is applied to different inserts such as threaded bushes, ball bearings, metal sheets, electric components, plastic articles and many more.

This method has the following benefits:

• Solid bond between insert (threaded bush) and component
• No additional operational sequence required
• Suitable for fully-automatic operation
